New Earring Cards

Over the weekend I started listing new earring cards in my Etsy Shop. These have done really well and people love that I can customize them in so many different ways! I can use different colors, different fonts, etc. Here is my latest group:

I decided to list these as files instead of taking 5 pictures of each earring card. I would love to hear thoughts on whether this looks okay. Photos can be so time consuming and white on white is hard to photograph! When I do samples for people, I always give them a digital sample like what is in the listing. Please let me know what you think of the new listings.

Here is an example of a new card in my shop:

  1. I just noticed your new earring cards and they look great Edi! My only question was how earrings look on them with the design in the background.

  2. Oh my..I really manage to have earring cards! I never make something special for earrings packaging or something for my shop. Thanks for little reminder. Yours are great! Love the purple colour there.

  7. They are great, of course! For some earrings, though, the colored flowers might be too competitive. Try making one, like the purple one, all black, or maybe even better, make the background colors gray or sepia. Just a suggestion if you are looking for more variety.

  8. Cute earring cards! I'd like to see them photographed with the earrings too. How about making the picture a watermark? It would add pop to the card and still highlight the earrings.

  9. I like both the design and the fact that it is digital. I don't think it's necessary to include a photo with earrings...nice to have, but probably time-consuming on your part.

  10. They look really great! I love the yellow flowers one:) I also really like the digital slideshow as a format to show your work. It really doesn't make sense to do something via paper copy if it's going to be digital anyway.

  12. I was looking back through the comments and wondering why I didn't see mine. I think that I just commented in the weekly thread!

I think that a couple stock photos of your printed cards with earrings would work for all of the card listings. It would give people some idea of scale and how professional the cards look "for real." I completely understand not wanting to print samples of all of your designs and don't think that you have to.

  13. They are great. A question, do you fold them at the top? I don't, but just curious.

  14. What a great idea! I agree that a photo of the card with earrings is important to see, but I think the file gives a very clear view of the design of the card.

  15. These are adorable! I've been meaning to make some up to keep on hand because I like to make earrings for the ladies in my family just for the fun of it and they would be so cute on little cards!
